Proud owners, Head Chef Elliot Dube from Johannesburg and his wife / Director Justine, originally started the dream back in 2004 with their first venture “Café Africa Seafood & Grill”. Originally in a hotel kitchen after 9 months of trade they took out the local business award for best restaurant, and then in 2007 were voted 2nd best Steakhouse in Australia on the lifestyle food Channel’s I LOVE FOOD awards.
In March 2012 they smashed that record when they were voted "Australias Favourite Steak" in the same awards.
Safari Club Bar & Grill is not just another cheesy steakhouse clone: it is a South African style char grill serving up a great range of the best steaks, ribs, and seafood Tamworth has to offer - plus a few south African delicacies to add to the mix.
From the moment you walk in you will feel the ambience of the safari experience with our African inspired décor, and our friendly staff who will be your tour guides on your culinary adventure.
At Safari Club, all of our steaks are cut on premise by Elliot himself, and cooked the way you want them ranging from Bleu to Very well done.
All meat is marinated in our own basting sauce which is one of our many famous sauces made on the premise. The perfect compliment to a fantastic steak is a top drop of red wine and this is the place to find it. We offer an extensive range of boutique red and white wines all at reasonable prices and we also cater for lovers of great beer and - of course - cocktails!
